My name is Rev. Rudy DeRosa and I was born in New York, lived in Bellerose, Queens & spent my high school years in the Bronx.  I have a wide variety of experiences, including cook, soldier, salesman, truck driver, pastor & teacher.  I have lived in NY, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana & now NC.  I am slightly dyslexic. I have had my triumphs & tragedies.  I have accomplished great things and also failed miserably.

     I have a great wife & we have been married over 25 years.  We now live in Jamestown, NC along with my mother.  Mary & I have never been blessed with children but we we both work with children a great deal.  Mary works for Guilford County Schools as a data mgr. & I substitute teach on a fairly regular basis.

     I was in the parish ministry for 13 years & still preach from time to time.  I consider myself semi-retired & now focus most of my time on Patmos, my wife and writing.  I love working one on one rather than in big institutions.  I have a BA from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY in Behavioral Science as well as an MDiv and some post graduate credits.  I have taught at a community college level as well as PreK.  I enjoy teaching all grade levels
